It has been a tough week for Transformers' fans as we collectively mourned the passing of Mr Peter Cullen whose voice had become the soul of a generation and a beacon of hope through his unforgettable portrayal of Optimus Prime. He did not merely bring a character to life; he gave us a symbol — a symbol of strength, compassion, and unwavering integrity.
Optimus Prime, as voiced by Mr Cullen, was a mentor, a protector, and a shining example of what it means to lead with courage and kindness. The weight of responsibility and the warmth of compassion in his voice rings true for those of us who believes that true leadership is grounded in humility and self-sacrifice.
As Comics World celebrates her 39th birthday with the comics community, we also welcome new voices and artists who are still finding their own way in the world. We have been fortunate to attract a community who are trying to express their own love of whatever genre of comics/ manga or toys and sharing it with the world.
We have an exciting line up of activities for you on 5th September 2026. We have invited local artist Ms Vinka San who has designed a new look for Helix, CW's very own mascot. She has also prepared lots of merch and is taking requests for her art work. We are also graced by the presence of Ms Leirix Li, a prolific DC and Marvel cover artists and she will be sharing her latest upcoming projects at the event!
We have also invited Transformers cosplayers who will be gracing our event with their presence and as per our Spider-man Day cosplay contest; you may vote for them via our TikTok polls.
Speaking of merch and festivities, Noelle and her amazing friends will be boothing at our event again! We have also invited Braxton, a new TF artist whom we get to know at Radamu event 2 weeks ago.
For all comics fans, CW will be doing a USD$1: SGD$1 conversion sale* on both Sat and Sun (5th and 6th Sept) This means that the cover price of the USD price will be the sale price in SGD! eg. USD 4.99 means that you only pay $5.00 for that comic covers! Our Spider-man dollar bin are still available and we have discounts for incentive covers. We are also launching 39 different TF art cards drawn by a plethora of local artists! Come and marvel at their art work.
